Rows 2–4: ch 1, turn, working in back loops only sc in each sc across: 11 sc
Border: Do not turn, sc in along side of each row, in each ch across bottom, and along other side of each row.
Fasten off and weave in ends. Tie knot in the middle and wrap yarn loosely around middle of bow.

Dress:

Round 1: Ch 28

Round 2–4: Turn, ch 1, sc across (28)

Round 5: 2 sc in each st, around (56)

Round 6: sc, 2 sc in next st, around (84)

Round 7: sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st, around (112)

Fasten off and weave in ends.

For the straps, sl st in first 4 sts of top of dress, ch 8, skip next 5 sts, sl st in next 10, ch 8, skip next 5 sts, sl st in last 4 sts.

Sew dress skirt closed, and follow nose instructions to create button. Attach loop to back of dress at the same height as button to close dress.

Finishing

Sew ears to head (without closing ears beforehand). Sew legs and tail between bottom and top of body. Sew arms to top of body and finish by sewing head to body.

I attached a pin to the bow to keep it in place, but you could also take another piece of yarn and tie it to the head through the stitches.

  • ValerieLenning: for the top part of the body, do you work in rounds, or is it rows and then sewn together?
